Social media influencer Scott Iguma is scheduled to be arraigned today, July 17, 2025, before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi on a 10-count charge.
Iguma, who gained attention for his persistent online campaign against real estate company PWAN, began calling out the firm on May 7, 2025. In a video posted to his Instagram page, he alleged that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) had classified PWAN as a Ponzi scheme and warned Nigerians to steer clear of it.
On May 16, he disclosed that after taking alleged victims of PWAN and other real estate firms — including Deluxe Residences, Ochacho Real Homes, and Gtext Homes — to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), some of the companies refunded their clients, but PWAN did not.
Since then, Iguma has used his social media platform to regularly publish claims against the company, highlighting alleged fraudulent practices. One such case involved a young man who, despite completing payment since 2020, was reportedly denied the allocation of six plots of land and a home by PWAN.
Iguma was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command ahead of his arraignment.
