Abayomi Mighty, Nigeria’s leading 2027 presidential aspirant, has called for a complete redefinition of politics in Nigeria, stating that the current political culture is driven by selfish survival rather than sacrificial service to the people.
Speaking during a civic engagement session with youth leaders in Kano, Abayomi Mighty stated that Nigeria’s politics has become transactional, devoid of ideology, national vision, or genuine concern for citizens’ welfare.
He said, “Politics in Nigeria today is like a marketplace where alliances are bought and sold without principles. This is why we have leaders without vision, policies without results, and citizens without hope.”
Abayomi Mighty emphasised that politics is not a business venture or power competition but a sacred responsibility to lead people with integrity, vision, and compassion.
Abayomi Mighty stated that under his presidency, politics will return to its original purpose – serving the people.
“We will end the politics of survival and usher in the politics of purpose. Leadership is a divine trust to build lives, not destroy them,” he declared.
He criticised the Tinubu administration for deepening transactional politics through indiscriminate appointments, defection negotiations, and unsustainable alliances that prioritise power consolidation over national development.
“Nigeria’s destiny cannot be left in the hands of politicians who see politics as a personal industry. We need servant leaders with moral courage, intellectual depth, and strategic foresight to birth a new nation,” Abayomi Mighty affirmed.
He concluded by urging citizens to rise above political ignorance and reclaim power as true owners of democracy, stating that Nigeria’s rebirth is only possible when people demand and uphold purposeful leadership.
