As Nigeria edges closer to the 2027 general elections, presidential aspirant Abayomi Mighty has made national security the cornerstone of his campaign, pledging sweeping reforms to end what he described as a “catastrophic humanitarian crisis” plaguing the country.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja on Saturday, Abayomi Mighty described security as a “sacred, non-negotiable duty”, promising that, if elected, his administration would act “decisively, with compassion and strategy.”
“The first duty of any government is to protect lives and property. My administration will not treat the blood of Nigerians as mere statistics,” he declared.
Abayomi Mighty unveiled a multi-pronged security agenda combining advanced intelligence gathering, overhauled military operations, and socio-economic interventions aimed at dismantling terrorism, banditry, and organised crime.
His security blueprint includes fast-tracking justice delivery, modernising national security infrastructure, and engaging global defense experts.
He also pledged to harness the expertise of Nigerian technologists and engineers working abroad in the defense sector to develop homegrown solutions.
“Our engineers are creators in global arenas. I will leverage their brilliance to forge a security architecture tailored to Nigeria’s unique realities,” he said.
