Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo

Decades ago, the sage and visionary leader, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, made a prophetic declaration that continues to echo through Nigeria’s political history: “A time will come when Nigerians will fight for themselves.” His words were not a call to violence, but a call to enlightenment and civic awakening — a reminder that the destiny of a nation is not shaped by its rulers alone, but by the resolve of its people to demand better and do better.

Today, Nigeria stands precisely at that prophetic crossroad. The nation faces daunting realities — economic stagnation, unemployment, insecurity, corruption, and a deep erosion of public trust. Yet, within this turbulence lies a powerful undercurrent: a growing political consciousness among Nigerians who are no longer content with empty promises and failed governance. The people are awakening, and the drums of change are beating louder than ever.

The forthcoming 2027 general elections therefore represent far more than a routine democratic ritual. They symbolize a battle for national rebirth — a moment when Nigerians must decide whether to continue recycling yesterday’s politics or to embrace a new era of leadership built on integrity, accountability, and vision.

Amid this awakening, the emergence of Abayomi Rotimi Mighty stands as a defining signal of generational transition. His movement reflects a deep yearning within the nation — a hunger for leaders who are not products of the old order, but pioneers of a new covenant of governance rooted in justice, transparency, and national pride.

Mighty’s vision for inclusive governance, economic transformation, and ethical leadership has begun to resonate with Nigerians across class, faith, and region. His leadership proposition challenges the politics of division and patronage, replacing it with a model that prioritizes empowerment, productivity, and collective advancement.

As the 2027 elections draw near, Nigerians are confronted with a historic choice: to remain trapped in the cycles of mediocrity or to fulfill Awolowo’s prophecy by standing up for themselves — not through protest or violence, but through the power of the ballot and the wisdom of informed voting.

The future Awolowo envisioned — one of an awakened, self-governing people — is now within reach. It calls for courage, clarity, and conviction. It calls for leaders who inspire trust, not fear; progress, not propaganda.

In this light, the rise of Abayomi Rotimi Mighty is more than a political movement — it is the manifestation of Nigeria’s long-awaited awakening, a call to all citizens to reclaim their voice and restore the dignity of leadership.

The prophecy has spoken. The people are awakening.
2027 must be the year Nigeria chooses itself.
